Greenwood

Yesterday, my officemates (Maryann and Rica) and I found ourselves in the small restaurant called Greenwood along Carvajal St. for lunch. Carvajal is actually an esquinita. No vehicles can actually pass through this narrow street because its sides are flanked with peddlers selling fruits, flowers, puto, watches, fish, shrimps and other thingamajigs.

Since we were undecided on what we want to eat for lunch, Maryann suggested Greenwood or Woodys as most locales would like to call the place. It's one of our default eating places should we fight over where to eat. Hehe.

Woody's isn't exactly elegant looking --- far from it. It's like a hole in the wall but fully airconditioned. It does try to provide whatever comfort it can to its clients. And anyway, the important thing is --- their food are actually good.

We ordered Pork Sisig (Php140) good for 3-4 persons and Chopseuy (Php 101). You can also find in their menu Bangus sisig, ginataang kalabasa, barbecue and other yummy soups.

Find Woodys at 613-615 Carvajal St., Binondo, Manila.
